Trading Fees & Creator Tax

Protocol Trading Fee

Every trade pays a flat 1.5% protocol fee. The creator configures neither the rate nor the split — the split is fixed by the protocol, and the only thing that varies it is the project type chosen at creation.

Protocol trading fee split by project type: Meme 20 percent dev, 20 percent buyback and burn, 10 percent Jump operations, 50 percent staking; APP 30 percent dev, 20 percent buyback and burn, 10 percent Jump operations, 40 percent staking; copyright Meme 20 percent buyback and burn, 10 percent Jump operations, 20 percent author, 50 percent staking.

Fig. 07 · Staking is the largest destination under every project type. Together with buyback & burn it means most of the fee flows back to holders rather than to the protocol.

Recipient Meme APP ©Meme How it is paid
Dev 20% 30% Claimed by the dev in the front end, settled daily.
Jump token burn 20% 20% 20% Into the BuybackVault, which buys the Jump token back under TWAP and slippage rules and burns it.
Jump operations 10% 10% 10% Into the JumpReserveVault, as the Jump team's reserve and day-to-day operations.
Original Author 20% Claimable once the author has completed X verification.
Project Token staking 50% 40% 50% Into that project's Project Token staking reward pool, distributed by stake weight.
Total 100% 100% 100% Conserved per trade and per harvest, traceable, never paid twice.

Read as a share of the trade rather than of the fee — each row above multiplied by 1.5%:

Dev 0.30% 0.45%
Jump token burn 0.30% 0.30% 0.30%
Jump operations 0.15% 0.15% 0.15%

Total 1.50% 1.50% 1.50%

The project type is set at creation

The type determines the split for the life of the token, and it is chosen at project creation alongside the reserve ceiling. A ©Meme launch pays no dev share at all — that 20% is routed to the original author instead, and is claimable only after X verification.

Creator Tax

Separate from, and additional to, the 1.5% above. The creator sets a rate between 0% and 10% at launch, fixed from then on. Its proceeds split three ways, in a ratio the creator configures at launch:

  • Original Author
  • Project Token stakers
  • Jump token buyback & burn

Permanent at launch

The rate and the split ratio are both fixed at launch and cannot be changed afterward. A creator choosing a high rate is making a permanent decision about their token's cost of trading — there is no governance path to lower it later.

Reading the Two Together

A trade always pays the 1.5% protocol fee, and pays the creator tax only if the creator set a non-zero rate. A project with a 0% creator tax is a valid and complete configuration — the protocol fee alone still funds the dev or author share, buyback & burn, Jump operations, and staking rewards.

The author share appears in both mechanisms and they are not the same money: under ©Meme the author is paid out of the protocol fee, at a rate the creator does not control, while the creator tax's author share is paid on top at a rate and ratio the creator fixed at launch.
